Summit Entertainment officially moves forward to Twilight sequel - New Moon
Summit Entertainment officially announced the production of New Moon after the follow-up hit of the movie Twilight. New Moon is the second installment of the saga written by Stephanie Meyer. The script had already been finished but no words about the director and when will the production start. The main leads Robert pattinson as Edward Cullen and Kirsten Stewart as Bella Swan have both signed to star in New Moon. Twilight movie makes an impressive debut on its opening day gaining over $37 million from sold-out cinemas.

Twilight, the first installment of the saga is a story about a 17-year-old girl named Bella Swan who moved into the quiet town of Forks to live with her dad. She was immediately attracted to Edward Cullen, a mysterious but very attractive young man from school. Edward tends to push Bella away but a strange attraction pulls them together. Bella then finds out the secret behind Edward and his family and trouble she's getting herself into.
What exactly is the fascination over Twilight more particulary on teenagers? It has been said that the author did a great job of making every girl's fantasy alive out of Edward's character and the love between him and Bella seemed unbreakable. It's been called as the modern day Romeo and Juliet. Everybody wants a little romance in their life.
The popularity of Twilight has once been proven again during the release of the movie on November 21, 2008 starring Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan. The movie is a hit with over $37 million on its opening day and over $70 million on its weekend sales. Although critics have mixed reviews about the movie, the fans showed their loyalty and support to the most popular vampire story yet. Due to the early success of the movie, Twilight fans have received an early gift for Christmas. The sequel, which is New Moon was given the go signal to hit the movie screen.
